Between the velvet I’m working my way through there is a piece of corduroy, lovely stuff to use for a book and I spend half an hour getting off all the dust to make some pictures of it. 5 minutes later:

I can see why you want to improve the picture, but the corduroy on the book already looks very good! I especially like the slipcase, with the brown cloth framed by white :-)
