Kathrin from Paperama makes lovely file folders and now (finally) offers perfect DIY kids for the enthusiastic crafter in her online store.
Being a ‘somewhat experienced’ bookbinder I had already devised my own way of making pocket books (a lot more labour intensive than hers, I always need input from others to make my life simpler) so I didn’t really need the tutorial (which is, by the way, very clear and well written) but sometimes there is something immesurably comforting and pleasing about just folowing steps using mostly pre-cut paper and finding such a great result in your hands. Particularly when your own creativity has been severely compromised for a while. Don’t get me wrong, most of the time I really like doing everything myself, having to think a little while my hands work. But sometimes… ah well you get my point.
Isn’t it pretty? I like it a lot.

Oh wow – I’m so happy to hear you liked the kit, Liesan. And thank you so much for sharing your finished memo pockets. It’s really lovely, can’t get enough of that paper myself. And I totally know what you mean about following steps. That was one the first reasons that got me hooked on bookbinding, just following somewhat routines with my hands…
Sunny greetings & have a lovely weekend!
